OK, that’s a song from WAY back in my day. ANYWAY…I know in recent posts I’ve mentioned my “Doodle a Day” daily creative assignment and that at the end of each week, on Sundays, I would post the weeks worth of doodles.

I haven’t done so yet because I’m still figuring out WordPress and working out the kinks here and there for my sight. Also, I haven’t found the time yet to scan them in properly and prep them for viewing…but once I do that, I promise that I’ll be posting them! PICTURES ARE COMING SOON!

While, it isn’t anything *amazing*, I am very happy with the progress I’ve been making with my doodles a day. I used the word doodle because it was keeping it both light on the expectation realm and also open ended enough that it could be anything. The first one is a water color painting, then there are some marker drawings and cut outs and silly things as well as more serious attempts at sketching. All in all I’d say there is a wide range of material going into this project and THAT is what keeps me excited and energized to keep working on it.

I think at the end of the year, when I bind these puppies up, it’s going to be a really exciting finished piece to have…I’m very much looking forward to continuing to add to it daily and let my mind wander while I work without being too critical or hard on myself (for once).

Anyway, I’ve also lost some blogs that I used to read. By “lost” I mean “they are no longer blogging” and I’m searching for blogs to take their place. If you read my blog and maintain a blog/livejournal or what have you and would like to share, please do so! I LOVE following people that update regularily. That being said, I have to throw a shout out to Haley Nagy at haleynagy.com who has been really diligent about updating her blog daily with wonderful little tid bits on many things creative and exciting in her life. If you, my dear readers, are looking for additional blogs to follow, please visit Haley’s as well as some others I listed in my sidebar as sites for people I know. I feel so lucky to know such wonderful, inspiring and energetic people…it’s fun to see what everyone is up to!
